Introducing the Air Car

Welcome to Air Car Magazine. Many of you haven't heard of the compressed air car - but chances are that you might be driving one sooner than you think.

Here's why:

  • 125 miles to a refill of AIR (Yes - we said "AIR" - its that stuff you breath)
  • Refilling your empty tank takes 2 minutes
  • A gas/air hybrid will take you from New York to Las Vegas on a single tank of gas.

Compressed Air is renewable and clean. A compressed air car costs around $12,000 and will refill itself overnight (around 4 hours from empty) when plugged into your garage's electric outlet (Total Cost $2). A Compressed Air Car is "Real" as well - India takes delivery of 6000 compressed air cars to serve as taxis in major cities in 2008; Germany, Sweden, and France are placing orders and getting serious about this obvious replacement for the 100+ year old combustion-based automobile.

This MDI-designed CityCAT Taxi is the first of 6000 Air Cars built by India's largest auto manufacturer Tata for delivery to major cities in India.
